Hooves & Feathers Petting Farm is a veteran-owned and family-operated business proudly based in Jasper, Georgia.
Owners Manuel and Joi moved their family from South Florida to the North Georgia mountains in November 2020 after a late-summer vacation to Blue Ridge completely stole their hearts. The breathtaking mountain views, slower pace of life, and welcoming community made North Georgia the perfect place to build the life they had always dreamed of.
Like many families, life has continued to evolve over the years, and they decided to switch gears a bit. One of their adult sons has since returned to Florida, one adult daughter is proudly serving in the US Air Force, while the others remain nearby. Their family also recently celebrated one of life's greatest blessings—the arrival of their very first grandchild, adding a whole new generation to the Hooves & Feathers family and making us want to free up extended weekends for baby sniggling visits!
Manuel is a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran and retired UPS manager. Joi holds a master's degree in education and has spent more than 15 years teaching middle school STEM. She is now back in the classroom, teaching in Cherokee County while continuing to share her passion for education through the farm's interactive animal experiences.
Together, Manuel and Joi combined their love of animals, education, and serving others to create Hooves & Feathers Petting Farm.
What began as a destination farm has now grown into a fully mobile petting farm, bringing unforgettable animal encounters directly to schools, birthday parties, churches, festivals, businesses, assisted living communities, and special events throughout North Georgia. While our permanent home is now in Jasper, our mission is to bring the farm to you—creating hands-on, educational experiences wherever you are.
Above all else, our animals are family. Their health, safety, and well-being always come first, and every event is planned with their comfort and happiness in mind. We believe that when animals are well cared for, they create the best experiences and the most meaningful memories.
Whether we're visiting your event or preparing for future opportunities to welcome guests to our Jasper home, our mission remains the same: to inspire a love for animals, educate through meaningful interactions, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Meet Our Family...Manuel & Joi met in April of 1999 and have been inseparable since. The road to an amazing family is not without hiccups, but it is the love and perseverance that sets true love apart! Together balance is created... She is the dreamer and he is the do-er. They have worked to build this farm with love, sweat, and tears and want you to come out and enjoy the beauty and animals.

How we came to be...When we bought our farm over 3 years ago, we originally planned to just have a few animals and build a house. However, our love for animals has grown exponentially and so the idea of a petting farm was born. Today we are home to 100+ heads and always growing! We can't wait to share our animal friends with all of you!!
