Summer Camp

Hooves and Feathers offers week long summer camp sessions for ages 4 to 14. We will journey through life on a farm, to include learning about farm animals - daily feeding, grooming, and care. Your children will experience a connection with animals and the land through hands-on lessons, arts & crafts, and games. Spending summer on the farm, children will learn together to appreciate the connections between our land and animals that grow and nurture healthy communities. 

Mobile Petting Farm

Looking to have a farm party at home? Church event or festival? Maybe brightening those in nursing homes? Hooves & Feathers is here to make your special day one to remember! Parties (on the Farm)

Looking for somewhere for your special event? Let us help you! We are open to all ideas from anniversaries to family reunions.

Two Ways to Host Your Party:
  1. Reserve a Date/Time: We will provide the farm and all areas/animals for your private event. And also 2 buckets of grain to feed the animals. The picnic area seats approximately 50 people. Picnic area can be decorated any way you choose; you can schedule an appointment to visit the farm and get a tour. You may also serve picnic style food of your choice, but we ask that ALL food remain in the picnic area for the safety of our animals. We offer grill rental for an additional fee. 
    *Please note we recommend that you don’t bother with a tablecloth, they just don’t work with the breezes on the hill.
  2. Open Farm & Seating: Tables will not be reserved, but are first come, first serve. You are welcome to use as many as needed for your special day. Reminder: we are open to the public, you may have farm visitors on site during your event. 
** We often relocate our tables throughout the year to other areas of the petting farm. However, they will be set up in party format when reserved.

Field Trips

We welcome schools, home school groups, boy & girl scouts, etc, to our farm. Your group will have full access to all of our animals, getting a hands-on experience! We will answer all questions to make this an educational experience for the children. It is $10 per student, teachers, school staff, and chaperones are free. We will include 2 buckets of grain. Field Trips can be scheduled for 1-2 hours and the picnic area is open if your group would like to enjoy thhe area for lunch. 
Additional Information While on the Farm...
This is a working farm, animals live in their natural environment and may be dirty especially after rainy weather.

  • Please do not cross over any fences or barriers unless asked to do so. You may reach through the fence to pet the animals, but do not try to pick up or force the animals to come to you. Many of our animals are very friendly, but some are young and still learning the ropes.
  • Closed toe shoes are REQUIRED.
  • No glassware on the farm.
  • No food outside the picnic area.
  • Please do not chase any animal during your visit.
  • Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Absolutely no smoking on the farm.
  • During your time at the farm you have access to the farm store, picnic area and "the hill"; please do not allow children to go to the house or in any of the outbuildings or sheds. We do call the farm our home! 
  • Participating in our petting zoo is so much fun, but animals can carry germs that aren’t good for humans to ingest. Please make sure you wash your hands or use the sanitizer stations before AND after petting our animals.
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY ~ HAVE FUN!!
